Parallel Circuit

Series Circuit
     This week I learned about different types of circuits and how and why they work. One type of circuit I learned about is a parallel circuit. A parallel circuit is a circuit that two things that are using electricity and that will never touch each other. Another type of circuit I learned about is a series circuit. A series circuit is a circuit with two or more of the same thing that is using electricity and is in the same circuit. One interesting fact I learned about a series circuit is that if you are making a series circuit with lights and you literally take of the light of one of the lights the other light won't work because that light that is working is relying on the other light to either finish the circuit or keep the electricity flow of the circuit to move.

Summary:        This week in science we learned about biogeochemical cycles, more specifically, I learned about the biogeochemical cycle known as the Sulfur Cycle. What I now know about the Sulfur Cycle because of what I learned this week through research is each part in the sulfur cycle. I also now know that their are a lot of different parts in the sulfur, but my focus was trying to make this complicated cycle very simple and easy to understand. Plate Tectonics 3/10/18

Summary:        This week in science we learned about Plate Tectonics. Plates have been on Earth for thousands of years and are consistently moving (very slowly). Through this the Earth can recycle our land, by destroying the old land, and creating new land. These plates are made of rock and are in the lithosphere layer of the Earth. Another thing I know is that there are 3 different type of plate boundaries. Those three types of plate boundaries are convergent boundaries, divergent boundaries, and transform boundaries. Convergent boundaries are when two plates collide and their are two different types of convergent boundaries. The two types of convergent boundaries are collisional boundaries and subduction zones. A collisional boundary is when two plates with the same density collide. Because they are the same density the plates buckle and warp. The land then pushes up into jagged peaks forming a mountain.
