Link to Ozone Hole Image Summary:        This week in science we finished our scientist wanted project. For this project we had to choose a famous scientists (I chose Mario Molina) and then create a wanted poster on them. This project allowed me to learn many things about Mario Molina which then allowed me to develop a my thoughts about him. Based on what I learned I think that Mario Molina cares about helping the environment. This is due his many quotes he has about the environment (such as climate change) and the fact that he discovered the ozone hole. I also think that Mario cares about spreading the science field to Latinos and Hispanics. I think that he cares greatly about science and that he believes that their should be more Latinos and Hispanics in the field. I also think this this due to the following quote by him, " Many Latino kids should become scientists because we need scientists all over the world from all different backgrounds. We have many tough problems, an

Summary: Link        This week in science we studied certain scientists so that we could make a wanted poster about them. The scientist that I chose to learn about was Mario Molina. What I learned about Mario Molina was what he is famous for, personal information, where he conducted his work, his educational background, his main achievements, and who he worked with. He is famous for his important role in the discovery of the Antarctic ozone hole.  The personal information that I learned was his birth date, place of birth, and family members.  Most of his work was done in California more specifically at University of California, Irvine, University of California, San Diego, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He also joined the facility of MIT for some time. His basic studies were done in Mexico and at the Institut auf dem Rosenberg in Switzerland. He than got his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1965. Just a couple of

Our Disaster Proof Housing Website Link Summary:        This week in science we finished our disaster proof housing project. For this project we had to create a home that could withstand a certain disaster in a certain area (my group chose floods in Belarus). Through this project I learned many things such as certain techniques and materials you should use when creating a flood proof house. The main technique used when creating a flood proof house is to elevate it through using bricks or wooden stilts. The main material that is used in Belarus for homes that are flood proof are concrete, brick, and wood. Another thing that I learned through doing this project is how people in Belarus are affected by floods. People are affected by floods in Belarus by being forced to evacuate their homes and being left cold and homeless. They also will lose many important belongings. But floods in Belarus not only affect people, but the economy as well. If any community members farmed for the ar
