Charity Fair 2016-Project Blog 12/11/16

  •       Summary
This week was the Charity Fair where we had to pick a charity in California, research them, create an ignite about them. Then you had to create a product to raise money for that charity then create an instructable of how you created it, then create a tri-fold then present your ignite to a whole bunch of parents for the charity fair. What I learned from doing this year's charity fair was that charity's truly make a big difference in people's life. Also that when you present you should make good eye contact, talk with your slides, and don't sway around. The last thing I learned was to stay open to ideas because maybe that idea will make your project better.
What our Product is Link

  • Backword-Looking
What I knew before this subject was what a charity is which is a group of people that donate money and help a cause. Another thing I knew was how to research a charity and find important information and stats that are helpful. Also how to create an ignite and perform one. One other thing I knew was some certain charity's and what they were trying to help. The last thing I knew how to do was work with a partner which is what I did this year for the charity fair.
  • Inward-Looking
I feel good about my project because I feel I did a good job on it. What I feel I did good on was pretty much everything because we followed the rubric and got an A on everything. What I like that I did on my project was that our product because we sold every single one of them and together our parents only bought three out of the 20. What I dislike about my project was that our tri-fold had a little bit of space left and we could've added more. What I enjoyed about the project was creating the products, because I got to do it with my partner at my house and I enjoyed it because we were having fun making them.
  • Outward-Looking
I would give this project as a whole a grade from a range of 89%-97%. I would give our project this grade because I feel we did everything good, but we didn't do everything great. We did good presenting our presentation but we didn't make much eye contact and we swayed around. We did great on every assignment we had though so that was good. But all those little assignments don't matter as much as the big things like the product, tri-fold, and ignite. We did good our product because they sold fast, and a lot of people were eager to buy them every chance they could. Our tri-fold was really good but we could've made it look a bit neater. So that is why I would give our charity fair project that grade.
  • Forward Looking
What I would change is not messing around as much and be more productive so we would have more time to work on everything. Also to practice our ignite more so we didn't have to look at cards that told us what to say. One other thing is trying to organize and make everything a bit neater because some parts of our project were all over the place. Another thing I would change is maybe working harder on finding better images for the ignite .Everything else I wouldn't change because I feel we followed the rubric and did everything great.

  • Conclusion
So in conclusion for this year's Charity Fair I feel we did pretty good and I learned many new thing and overall it was a great experience.
