My pet mineral ( sodalite)

What the project was

The project was you had to pick a mineral and a do a google form to adopt it. Then you had to answer the questions on the show sign up the questions you had to answer were your mineral's description ( give description of what your mineral is ), your mineral's physical features, how your mineral is formed, how it is used, and other interesting facts. Then you had to make a google slides presentation with all things you had to do on the show sign up.

The things I learned from doing this project is that most sedimentary rocks are formed the same way or similar.  Another thing I learned is that most minerals might be more common than the other so it's easier to find answers for the one that is more common.  I also found out that sodalite is a stone of trust for some people and I thought that was very interesting. One other thing I learned is that sodalite is found in many places. The last thing I learned is that sodalite can be many colors.

The things I knew before this project started were what each test is, meaning I know how it is used or what it tests or both. The other thing I knew was what indigenous rocks are and what they look like. Another thing I knew was what each answer should look like. For example a chemical composition/formula should look little something like this Na8Al6Si6O24Cl2. The last thing I knew was that some minerals are used for jewelry. I know this because when people were presenting today people mentioned that their mineral can be used for jewelry and mine is used for jewelry too.

I feel pretty good about this piece of work. My reasoning is I feel I spent enough time on the slides part of the project unlike last project. The thing I like about this project was that you didn't have to do much work accept research, making slides, answering docs, and putting research in your own words. The thing  I didn't like about the project was that it took almost 3 and a half hours in order to answers so I had to do work at home. Another thing I disliked was that we didn't have much time to finish the project ( 3 and a half days ). The thing that I enjoyed about this project was that I got to learn something knew that I have never really learned about ( minerals ).

I would give this piece of work an A. My reasoning for that is that I feel I spent a lot of time on making the words original ( meaning I made them ).  I also would give this piece of work an A because I used a lot of different links that gave me a lot of different facts.  Another reason is that I feel I put the most important information and not the information that isn't that important. One more reason is I feel I used the some of the most professional links for my information. My last reason is I feel I did really well on the other interesting facts slide.

I feel that I wouldn't change that much things about my project. My reasoning for that is because I feel I did very well on my project. The things I would change though is maybe spending a bit more time on researching because I didn't have enough time to cross check my facts. Another thing I would change is  maybe looking harder on the things I needed answers for because for most links I didn't think that they had any information I needed so I just left. The last thing I would change is maybe choosing a different mineral. I would do this because it was very hard to find facts for it so maybe I should of chose a more common mineral.

So in conclusion I feel that I did pretty well on this project. But maybe next time I would research so I could find the most common mineral so it would be easier. All in all doing this project was a fun learning experiment.
