Summary
This week in science we learned about how you and your team can help make your urban village a very pro environmental village. One thing I learned was that by simply adding more bike and walkways you simply can invite more people to not use their car as much and from a result of that there will be a lot less gas going into the air. Also that if you have more public transportation that can help stop gas going into the air. This is because a lot of people can fit into a bus, train, etc. but not that much people can fit into one car, so you are using a lot less gas by having more public transportation. Another thing I learned was that simply just every year talk about the thing that is hurting the community the most in terms of environmentally to get the community aware and start fixing it. The last thing I learned was that promoting renewable energy really can save lots of energy and then you can use that energy for something that really needs it.
S&EP 6-Constructing Explanations and Designing Solutions
This week we really had to design and construct explanations because we had to construct our own explanation in our own words of each accord we would like to implement in our urban village. We also had to design solutions because we had to create ways that we would make this happen in our village. For example, passing a law. So as you can see in order for us to do our work we really had to do both of these things.
